August 7, 2009 – LGS announced today that it has been awarded the Language Immersion contract to provide US Air Force international Language and Cultural Immersion training.

LGS will coordinate and provide three types of training in support of this requirement. During LASI training students will travel to one country and live with host families while attending classroom language training and immersion into cultural activities. RASI students will be immersed into regional cultural and language programs. Students will visit and live in multiple countries during a four to six month program. ISO-Immersion students will receive much of the same training without leaving the United States. Students will live within cultural communities, in the United States, while receiving language and cultural training.

LGS has been supporting this training since identifying and developing this type of training in 1993 and supporting this specific customer since July 2004. Many of the students attending this training will deploy to the same locations this training is conducted.
